How was the studio built?
How the studio was built - From vision to vibration
The Vibro Yoga studio wasn't just designed. It was invented.
And it all started with one person's vision: Shamir, founder and concept creator of Vibro Yoga.
In 2023, Shamir was deeply inspired by the healing power of vibroacoustic therapy.
He envisioned a space where sound was not only heard - but felt.
A space where vibration could calm the nervous system and elevate the entire yoga experience.
But the idea of building an entire yoga studio with a vibrating floor - gentle, precise and aesthetic - had never been realized before.
There was no manual. No drawings. No instructions.
Just one uncompromising idea - and eight months of intensive experimentation.
A floor like no other
At first, we considered building one vibrating field at a time. But with limited space and the need for precise placement of yoga mats, it quickly became unrealistic.
Instead, we decided to build the entire floor from scratch - every layer, every connection, every wire.
We made several prototypes that we later had to discard. But every mistake taught us something. And slowly, the solution began to take shape.
Test. Error. Test again.
Finding the right devices to create vibration was a journey in itself.
Some were too big. Some were too weak. Some were noisy. Some got too hot.
Some required ventilation. Some were not safe in contact with wood.
Some were too expensive. Others were useless in practice.
But we kept going.
Until we found the right combination - one that both felt right and was sustainable.
Sound, safety and silence
It wasn't just about vibration. We also had to design a Dolby Atmos sound system that suited the acoustics of the room and the tranquility we wanted to create.
The placement of speakers, amplifiers and subwoofers was carefully considered. We dealt with safety, vibration leakage, power management and minimizing electromagnetic stress (EMS). Everything had to be safe. Quiet. Beautiful.
The floor also had to be able to support the participants' body weight without destroying the vibrations.
We are all different - so the experience had to be stable and comfortable, regardless of body type and age.
The people behind the building
More than anything, Shamir wanted the studio to feel like a sanctuary.
Safe. Inspiring. Luxurious. Like a spa for the nervous system.
While working with heat, light, aesthetics and engineering, we asked ourselves again and again:
"How does it feel to be here?"
Every decision was made with the body and nervous system in focus.
We had to build what didn't exist
The challenge? No one had done it before.
No guides. No references. No guarantees that people would like it.
So we decided to take it even further:
We built the system so that each participant has their own vibration control.
If you want little or no vibration, but still love the yoga - it's possible.
This made the entire construction more expensive, more complex and much more time-consuming.
But now it's here.
And you won't find it anywhere else in the world.
